Culinary Center of Kansas City Announces New Roles

The Culinary Center of Kansas City has new cooks in the kitchen.

Molly Flynn has taken over as lead chef. She began teaching classes at CCKC in 2017.

Flynn attended Seattle Central Culinary Academy. She will manage kitchen operations, teach cooking classes, and design new teambuilding and cooking party concepts. She also will design the center’s Dinners on Demand frozen chef-prepared meals.

“I am excited to be part of the team at The Culinary Center and look forward to the

creative and culinary challenge,” Flynn said in a statement.

CCKC also welcomes a new “king of culinary curriculum.” Stephen Velie will manage the center’s public classes, worth with instructors and develop new class concepts. He’s open to suggestions — contact him at stephen@kcculinary.com or 913-341-4455.

CCKC, in Downtown Overland Park, offers more than 6,500 square feet of event space, including two teaching kitchens, and The Kitchen Shop. It offers more than 600 cooking classes per year and is available for interactive cooking parties, culinary teambuilding activities, private events and catering.

The center is a 2006 winner of Thinking Bigger’s 25 Under 25 Awards.
