A popular partnership has expanded for its second season.
Visit KC’s Kansas City Tap Tour is back, encouraging patrons to visit breweries all over the metro by providing discounts and prizes for imbibing local craft beers.
Participants can pick up a guidebook for $7 at Visit KC, 1321 Baltimore Ave., Kansas City, or at several of the breweries on the tour: Amerisports Brew Pub, Border Brewing Co., Boulevard Brewing Co., Cinder Block Brewing Co., KC Bier Co. and McCoy’s Public House.
Like a passport, the guidebook will be stamped at participating breweries. With 10 stamps, participants can earn a Tap Tour pennant designed by Normal Human. With stamps from all 19 breweries, they earn a Tap Tour T-shirt from Bunker.
Breweries on the Tap Tour offer various discounts, such as a free pint with food purchase or $2 off the first beer. A few other area establishments that don’t brew beer also offer deals, including Bier Station, HopCat, Up-Down and Mike’s Wine and Spirits.
Stamps must be collected by May 31, 2018, to receive discounts and prizes.
“The success of the first KC Tap Tour run demonstrates the incredible enthusiasm that visitors and locals have for our craft beer scene,” said Traci Moon, Visit KC’s senior vice president of marketing and communications, in a news release. “By adding eight more breweries to the tour, we’ve made the experience even more representative of the brewing community.”
