Local businesses will battle it out for the title of Best Entrepreneurial Brand for a fifth year in a row. KCSourceLink’s Battle of the Brands is hoping for another year of friendly competition among some of Kansas City’s savviest and most diverse startups, small businesses and brand giants. Before businesses start strapping on the armour, though, they need to be nominated.
To nominate your business, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be based in the 18-county Kansas City metro region
- Demonstrate signs of growth and innovation
- Have been in business for at least one year
You have until Feb. 12 to nominate your company. Then, starting Feb. 22, the seeding round will begin. Fans will vote and select the 64 companies that will compete, split among four bracket categories: Main Street, Innovation-Led, Second Stage and Microenterprise companies. Voting for the first bracket will begin on March 1. Is your company prepared to duke it out until the end to be named Kansas City’s Epic Entrepreneur for 2016?
Winners from previous years include Dolce Bakery in 2015, Red Nova Labs in 2014, Morgan Miller Plumbing in 2013 and Shatto Milk in 2012.
You can nominate your company at KCSourceLink’s website. You must be an owner or employee of the company to nominate.
