Nominations Open for Kansas Women and Minority Business Awards

Do you know an excellent minority or woman-owned business that’s based on the Kansas side of the state line? Give them a little love by nominating them for the Kansas Department of Commerce’s annual minority and women business awards.

The state is taking nominations now through July 17 at this website. Printable forms are available at the site, too, and you can also request a hard copy by contacting Rhonda Harris at (785) 296-3425 or rharris@kansascommerce.com.

The winners will be recognized at the Kansas Minority and Women Business Awards Luncheon on Oct. 13 at Topeka’s Capitol Plaza Hotel, as part of the annual Minority Enterprise Development Week. Winners will be named in several categories, such as retail, professional services, construction and more.
