Overland Park EDC to Salute Avenue Link, Go Local, Retail Success with NOVA Awards

The Overland Park Economic Development Council will celebrate three of the city’s fastest-growing businesses during its annual Honors Lunch next week.

This year’s recipients of the OP EDC’s NOVA Awards include:

  • Avenue Link, a marketing company that focuses on online and mobile lead generation
  • Go Local Interactive, a full-service digital marketing agency
  • Retail Success, which provides point-of-sale software and other technology for independent retailers

This is the 11th year for the lunch, which will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 at Johnson County Community College’s Regnier Center.

The NOVA Awards aren’t the only honors that will be presented during the luncheon.

  • Frank Thompson, the longtime owner of Overland Park Dodge Jeep Chrysler Ram, will receive the Ben Craig Vision Award for his years of leadership in the community.
  • OptumRx will be inducted into the Business Hall of Honor for its contributions to the local economy and quality of life. More than 2,000 employees work out of the Overland Park Xchange facility.
  • Hawthorne Plaza, Topgolf and the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center (based in the former King Louie bowling alley) will receive Commercial Development Awards for their new construction or redevelopment efforts.
