Got a Gripe With Small Business Rules? SBA Roundtables Are Coming to OP, St. Louis

As a business owner, you’ve probably run face-first into your share of confusing, stifling or just plain dumb regulations.

Fortunately, the federal government wants to hear all about it. And you don’t even have to go to Washington, D.C., to vent.

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy is planning Regulatory Reform Roundtables in Overland Park and St. Louis in September.

These are events where small business owners can point out regulations that are impairing their ability to operate. Your feedback will help guide federal agencies, Congress and other officials as they seek to make the United States a better place to operate a small company.

Admission is free, but attendees are asked to register in advance.

The St. Louis event will from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 at the Marriott Grand, 800 Washington Ave. Registration will open at 8 a.m. that day. You can sign up here.

The Overland Park roundtable will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the Marriott Kansas City, 10800 Metcalf Ave. Registration begins at 8 a.m. on the day of the event. You can register online here.

Can’t make it to a live event? You can still share your concerns about federal regulations at this website.
