ABWA Selects Lee’s Summit, Topeka Women for Top Roles

Meg Bell of Lee’s Summit has been elected the new national vice president of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA).

Bell, who works as an IT project manager for Sprint and co-owns Thad Bell Photography, won the national vice presidency during ABWA’s 65th National Women’s Leadership Conference at the Overland Park Convention Center.

In her nearly 30-year ABWA career, Bell has held a succession of local chapter offices and won many awards. She most recently served as one of the association’s six district vice presidents, representing ABWA members in nine Midwestern states.

As national vice president, Bell will serve on ABWA’s national board of directors and the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund Board of Trustees. Bell will be one of nine national officers.

“I am honored to be selected to the national vice president position,” Bell said in a release. “This is a great opportunity to continue to serve as an ambassador of ABWA, and to engage and connect with other members and their leagues as they uphold the ABWA mission.”
