Affinity Enterprise Group has just acquired a contracting company that should add new value to its portfolio of real estate-based businesses.

The Nixa-based SGF Contracting Services Inc. specializes in rehab and renovation projects. It primarily serves landlords, real estate investors and asset managers.

And that makes it an excellent complement to Affinity, which offers insurance and related products and services for real estate investors. Affinity is one of Kansas City’s fastest-growing businesses: It has grown by more than 300 percent over the past four years.

Affinity plans to expand SGF’s coverage area and pursue customers across the entire country.

“Many of our real estate investors have cited struggles finding qualified, reliable rehab and renovation contractors,” said Charlie Fitzgerald, CEO of Wrenn Co. Finance LLC and several other Affinity properties. “We believe this acquisition fills that need for both our current and future clients.”

Though SGF is based in the Show Me State and serves Kansas City and southwestern Missouri, it has a much larger reach. It currently assists clients in parts of Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

SGF uses cloud-based technology to manage deadlines, budget and communication for multiple projects. And it maintains a network of independent contractors to carry out those jobs.
