Allen Press acquires state-of-the-art equipment

Allen Press, a Lawrence-based commercial printer, announced its acquisition of a Brausse 1050SFi Automatic Diecutter and Foil Stamping Machine—the first of its kind in North America.

The machine is one of the most advanced on the market.

“We’re thrilled to be the first printer in North America to acquire one for our pressroom,” said Taylor Fulton, senior manager of marketing services at Allen Press. “It’s significant because the machine greatly expands our in-house commercial printing capabilities while maintaining the exceptional quality our customers have come to expect.”

With the installation, Allen Press can expand its commercial printing products to include direct mail pieces, pocket folders, calendars, posters, business cards, table tents and hologram stamping, as well as marketing collateral such as brochures and postcards.

The company’s strategy of adding the Brausse 1050SFi to its pressroom is to position itself as a full-service printer for clients of all sizes with various printing, direct-mail and marketing needs.

“The reason we chose the Brausse 1050SFi is because of its market-leading technology and ability to maintain our high-quality production standard,” said Fulton. “Work that we previously had to outsource can now be produced in-house, which results in more efficiencies for our customers at a lower cost.”

Brausse, a subgroup of Switzerland’s Bobst Group SA, is an equipment manufacturer specializing in the converting industry. Brausse is headquartered in British Columbia, Canada.

The new equipment will arrive in May 2018. Allen Press hopes to offer expanded services shortly thereafter.
