Applications Open Now for InvestMidwest 2016

The InvestMidwest Venture Capital Forum is taking applications now from high-potential, innovation-driven companies that want to present at its March 23-24 event.

The forum is one of the region’s best-known investment events. In a typical year, more than 40 companies in life sciences, technology, food, ag and bioenergy are invited to present their products to an audience of investment bankers, venture capitalists and other investors.

The early application deadline is Nov. 13, while the final deadline is Jan. 8. The 2016 forum will be held at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark. (The event goes back and forth between St. Louis and Kansas City.)

In the past 16 years, InvestMidwest companies have attracted more than $1 billion in investment. Presenting companies must be seeking $1 million or more in venture funding.

“The InvestMidwest Venture Capital Forum continues to unite some of the Midwest’s brightest and most promising high-growth startup companies with top investors from the tech, bioenergy and life sciences fields,” said Christine Walsh, executive director of InvestMidwest. “Equity investments in excess of a billion dollars have been generated over the years as a result of the relationships sparked at each forum, and we look forward to seeing what comes out of the 2016 event.”
