Chaz on the Plaza – the award-winning restaurant inside the Raphael Hotel – has won a TripExpert Experts’ Choice Award.

The award is based on reviews from Gayot, Forbes Travel Guide and more than 70 other media outlets. Globally, fewer than 2 percent of all restaurants win the Experts’ Choice Award. Chaz’s 78 score places it among the top 1 percent of all Kansas City eateries.

Chaz has earned praise for its modern American cuisine. Stand-out entrees includes its ribeye, its Colorado lamb chops and seared ahi tuna, and it presents live music every night.

TripExpert is the “Rotten Tomatoes of hotel reviews” – it aggregates expert reviews from dozens of publications, delivering a more informed opinion about accommodations. The site covers not just hotels, but eateries and travel attractions, too.

The TripExpert award is just the latest for Chaz on the Plaza. It has also won a TripExpert Best of Kansas City Award, a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, Wine Spectator Award of Excellent and Pitch Weekly’s Best Hotel Restaurant.
