Minority Business Entrepreneur Magazine has presented its WBEs Who Rock Award to Colleen Ellis, the president of J.M. Neil & Associates of Kansas City, Mo.

Ellis received the award during a ceremony this week at the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) national conference in Orlando.

J.M. Neil and Associates is celebrating its 30th year in business. The woman-owned company, which has 14 corporate employees, provides personnel consulting and staffing solutions to both federal and commercial clients. Ellis’ customers operate in the worlds of finance, technology, wireless, engineering and other fields.

The company holds Women Business Enterprise (WBE) certification through both the WBENC and the National Women Business Owners Corporation.
