Less than a month after announcing a second location and food truck, Doughnut Lounge continues its metrowide expansion.

The retailer of specialty doughnuts and “noduts” will open its third location in early 2018 in Downtown Overland Park, at 7926 Santa Fe Drive. It will be Doughut Lounge’s first location in Kansas and will also feature hot breakfast items, coffee and a full bar.

Doughnut Lounge is celebrating two years in business with rapid expansion. In November, the company announced a North Kansas City location that would double as its catering headquarters. That location will open in early 2018; until then, a new food truck is serving doughnuts and noduts — savory “knife-and-fork” doughnuts — at 1250 Burlington St. in North Kansas City. The food truck is available to rent for events on weekends.

The original Westport location at 4117 Pennsylvania continues to serve unique doughnuts, coffee and cocktails.
