Enterprise Center Celebrates 20th With New Office, Website, Branding

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Enterprise Center of Johnson County is changing things up a little with a new office, new website and new branding.

“This move is the culmination of a long, strategic transition to ensure that as Kansas City’s entrepreneurial community changes, we change with it,” said George Hansen, CEO of ECJC.

“We’ve taken a look at the space, education and services we provide to entrepreneurs and have taken steps to update our offerings to be certain we’re providing the resources entrepreneurs need to succeed today.

ECJC will host an open house next week at its new office at 4220 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Suite 350B, in Fairway. The event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. May 7. You can RSVP at this website.

The nonprofit provides an array of services to young, high-potential companies, including mentoring, co-working space, introductions to investors and other capital sources, and an array of workshops on marketing, startup funding and more. (Those workshops can now be livestreamed through ECJC’s website.)

Though it’s in a new location, ECJC will continue to house the Women’s Business Center and the Women’s Capital Connection, and it’ll keep overseeing the Mid-America Angels network of investors.

“ECJC’s new look will help us better gain the trust of our clientele—high-tech and high-growth businesses that look to us to set an example,” said Melissa Roberts, ECJC’s marketing director. “By updating our program offerings and brand, we can continue to engage new startups and help early-stage businesses grow jobs and revenue right here in Kansas City.”
