Esther George Appointed to Kauffman Foundation Board of Trustees

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation has appointed Esther George to its board of trustees. George is president and COO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and is a member of the Federal Open Market Committee.

George was appointed president of the Kansas City Fed in 2011 after serving with the bank for 30 years. She became its chief operating officer in 2009. George directs Federal Reserve activities in a seven-state region with offices in Kansas City, Omaha, Oklahoma City and Denver.

In her role as a Kauffman board trustee, George will work with nine other trustees to support the foundation’s mission of advancing educational achievement and entrepreneurial success.

George has a degree in business administration from Missouri Western State University and an MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
