EY Entrepreneur of Year Salutes Dorman, Mann, Ferman

Three business leaders from Kansas City are among the winners of the 2016 regional EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

The local winners were:

  • Case Dorman, Jack Stack Barbecue (Overland Park)
  • Kelly Mann, Mediware Information Systems, Inc. (Lenexa)
  • Nathan Ferman, Perfection Floor Tile (Grandview)

Dorman, Mann and Ferman were saluted during a black-tie gala Thursday at the Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland. The Central Midwest region includes Kansas and Missouri. This is the 30th year for the competition.

“EY has had a tremendous history in honoring outstanding entrepreneurs during the past 30 years,” said Dave Anderson, EY Entrepreneur of the Year program director for the Central Midwest. “This year’s winners have not only taken their companies to the top, but they have also acted as mentors to their employees and made impressive contributions to their communities.”

EY Entrepreneur of the Year is a national awards program. Winners from the country’s regional contests will proceed to a national gala in November in California.

Other Central Midwest finalists from Kansas City included:
