Global Entrepreneurship Week Celebrates 10 Years This November

Global Entrepreneurship Week is celebrating 10 years of celebrating entrepreneurs, and Kansas City organizers have planned a full slate of events to mark the occasion.

This year’s GEW will run from Nov. 13 to 17. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking to learn new skills, get inspired or just connect with other business owners, there’s going to be an event that’s perfect for you.

You can find a full listing of workshops, parties and talks at this website, but here are some of GEW’s marquee events. (All of the following take place at Plexpod Westport Commons.)

This year’s GEW will feature four “tracks” of events designed for different kinds of entrepreneurs:

Makers and Creators: If you bake, brew, knit, weld, hammer or just generally make cool stuff, this is the track for you.

Youth Entrepreneurship: It’s never too early to start training the next generation of business leaders, and that’s what this track is for.

Business Growth: This path is for business owners with a little seasoning, who want to get their companies ready for huge growth.

Business Services: Need help from an expert? This track will introduce you to accountants, consultants, attorneys and others who can give you solid business advice.

Organizers of Kansas City’s Global Entrepreneurship Week include KCSourceLink, the Enterprise Center in Johnson County, Mid-Continent Public Library and the Kauffman Foundation, which kicked off the original GEW here in Kansas City.
