Hoopla.io to Compete for $250K in National Pitch Competition

Kansas City’s Hoopla.io recently took the top spot at a Dallas startup pitch contest, winning $20,000 and a spot in Miller Lite’s Tap the Future national competition.

Hoopla.io will now vie for a $250,000 business development grant during the Dec. 7 event. Daymond John, one of the founders of FUBU and a star of ABC’s Shark Tank, will serve as one of the judges. There are four other finalists, each the winner of a regional competition similar to the one in Dallas.

Hoopla.io, formerly known as Local Ruckus, is based in the local Startup Village. The company has developed a platform for better event promotion and marketing.
