Local barbecue staple Joe’s Kansas City announced on its website that it’s going national!

The restaurant is not opening national chain locations, but it is shipping items from its menu across the continental United States. Now you can order some of the best barbecue in the nation from anywhere in the nation.

Joe’s Kansas City said it had to jump a few hurdles to get here. The company decided to build its own custom smokehouse facility and get approval from the USDA.

According to Joe’s website, the new USDA-approved facility includes the same smokers Joe’s Kansas City uses in its restaurants, as well as all the same ingredients and food preparation processes, which means uniformity in menu items.
