NextPage Adds Burns Printing In Latest Expansion Move

Local printing and marketing company NextPage is acquiring Burns Printing of Olathe, the latest in a series of expansion efforts for the Kansas City business.

“Burns Printing was founded in 1924,” said Gina Danner, NextPage’s CEO. “Its current owners, John and Diane Burnell, have created a great company in Burns Printing, and we are thrilled that they are looking to NextPage to help their customers progress to the next evolution of printing at NextPage.”

In recent years, Danner and her team have added five companies, put millions into new technology, expanded their plant three times and completed a rebranding. The company is known for its offset and digital printing, brand marketing collateral and data-driven multichannel direct marketing via direct mail and digital media.

“We first started talking to (owners) Larry Wittmeyer, Jr., Eric Danner and Gina Danner in 2013 when they created NextPage,” John Burnell said. “We were intrigued with their vision at that time and now are excited to see the evolution come together.

“Printing is a tough business. It takes a lot of capital and a lot of vision. The NextPage leadership team has the total package and sees the value and future of printing.”

For its part, NextPage is proud the Burnells are trusting them with the Burns Printing legacy.

“John and Diane have shown a great deal of pride in their company over the years, and it is such an honor to be working with the entire Burns Printing team,” Danner said.
