The Mid-America Regional Council is seeking nominations for its 2017 regional leadership awards.Since 1992, the awards have recognized individuals and institutions that have made outstanding contributions to the greater Kansas City area, including  advocating for regional approaches, advancing a regional vision of excellence, addressing regional challenges, applying innovative solutions or achieving an improved quality of life for residents.

Recipients may be current or past elected officials; individuals employed as professionals within governmental organizations; institutions or agencies, including governmental units or sub-units, businesses, foundations, civic or nonprofit organizations or educational institutions; or volunteer leaders in public or private organizations. Current members of MARC’s board of directors are not eligible for nomination.

Nominations will be accepted online until March 16.

The awards will be presented at MARC’s Regional Assembly in June.
