Shatto Milk Cleans Up at Missouri State Fair

Maybe it was the (glug) root beer milk that really grabbed the judges. In any case, Shatto Milk Company made a big impression overall at this year’s Missouri State Fair Dairy Products Competition in Sedalia.

The local family dairy operation received 11 first-place blue ribbons for its whole white milk, 2-percent white milk, root beer milk, strawberry milk, chocolate milk, caramel sea salt ice cream, chocolate ice cream, honey butter, garlic butter, salted butter and unsalted butter.

“We always look forward to the state fair,” Barbara Shatto said in a release. “It provides us an opportunity to share our products with folks from all over the state, not just those that are able to enjoy our milk daily.

“We are so excited to have received first-place recognition for our white milks, flavored milks, butters and ice cream as we strive to offer the best products available in each of our focus areas.”

Shatto Milk Company is open for tours year round in Osborn, Mo., about an hour’s drive northeast of Kansas City. To schedule a visit, call (816) 930-3862 or send correspondence to office@shattomilk.com.
