USDA to Host Free Event for Small Business Contractors

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is looking for small businesses to tackle federal contracting projects. And there’s more than cattle and crops involved!

You can learn more about these opportunities at the USDA’s Rural Small Business Connections event from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Westin Crown Center, 1 E. Pershing Road in Kansas City, Mo.

The agency’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization will host a series of educational networking sessions. You’ll learn about ways to grow your company by doing business with the USDA and other federal agencies.

Even if your company isn’t directly related to agriculture, you might opportunities to win projects from the USDA. The agency needs help with building and fixing roads and office buildings, lab equipment, janitorial supplies, professional services, IT services, aviation and more.
