Student Entrepreneur Program

WBENC Student Entrepreneur Program Seeking Applicants

The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council is accepting applications, through its Student Entrepreneur Program, from aspiring women entrepreneurs who are currently enrolled at a recognized college or university.

WBENC’s Student Entrepreneur Program is intended to foster growth for the next generation of women-owned businesses. The program was launched in 2008, and since then, more than 150 students from 50 colleges and universities across the country have graduated from the program.

Aspiring female entrepreneurs enrolled in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) courses or business studies are eligible. Applicants must be physically located in the continental U.S. at time of the program. Participants receive mentoring from women entrepreneurs who lead some of the most successful women-owned businesses. Mentorship is also provided by professionals from some of the country’s Fortune 500 companies. In addition to the mentoring benefits, students who are selected will also participate in a tailored entrepreneurial curriculum, a pitch competition awarding $10,000 in seed capital and experiential learning through off-site visits to women-owned businesses, corporate campuses and accelerators.

Attendance is free for those accepted, including conference registration, travel, lodging and other specified expenses. The program does not cover international travel.

Applications are due March 10. To access the applications, view the application timeline and review additional program details, visit www.wbenc.org/student-entrepreneur-program.
