The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City will recognize several individuals and organizations for their work in business, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and professional leadership at its 14th Annual Awards Gala on May 11.

The 2017 honorees are:

• Professional Leader of the Year // Dr. Haseeb Ahmed, Health Suite 110
• Entrepreneur of the Year // Mike Bosch, RG Fiber
• Civic Leader of the Year // Kansas City Chinese American Association Youth Hope Fund
• Corporation of the Year // Polsinelli

The keynote speaker for the event is Brian Wong, who is the co-founder and CEO of Kiip and the author  of “The Cheat Code: Going Off Script to Get More, Go Faster, and Shortcut Your Way to Success.” Fast Company has named Kiip one of the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies, and Forbes has listed Kiip as one of the Four Hot Online Ad Companies to Put on Your Watch List.

Ray Kowalik, the chairman and CEO of Burns & McDonnell, is serving is honorary chair of this year’s event.
