The Purple Guys has acquired another outsourced IT specialist, We Are IT, becoming one of the region’s largest providers of IT managed services to small and mid-market businesses.

The combined company will employee 40 people and serve more than 200 client organizations with more than 5,000 local workers.

“We Are IT has a reputation for delivering quality IT services to small and medium-sized companies since 1996,” said Jon Schram, president of The Purple Guys.

“Their leadership, employees and service focus fit perfectly with The Purple Guys. Combining the companies made sense, and the larger team continues our growth and focus on serving more businesses.”

The deal took effect on Aug. 1. Terms weren’t disclosed.

The Purple Guys opened for business in 2001, delivering remote service solutions, predictable pricing and preventive maintenance to its clients. It is a past winner of the 25 Under 25® Award from Thinking Bigger Business Media.
