Three business leaders from Kansas City were winners at this week’s EY Central Midwest Entrepreneur Of the Year gala.
The event was held Thursday, June 25, at the Sheraton Overland Park. The local honorees included:
- Bill Zahner, president and CEO of A Zahner Company, who won the Engineering Services award
- Matthew Perry, president of GENESYS Systems Integrator and winner of the Services award
- Jody Brazil, CEO of Firemon LLC, who took home the Technology award
Each man is now in the running for EY’s National Entrepreneur Of The Year award, along with winners from other regions. The national award ceremony will be held on Nov. 14 in Palm Springs, Calif., and the overall U.S. winner will compete for the title EY World Entrepreneur of the Year next June in Monaco.
“EY has honored outstanding entrepreneurs for the past 29 years,” said Mike Hickenbotham, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Director for the Central Midwest. “These winners are accomplished leaders who have contributed a tremendous amount to their communities, and we’re proud to recognize their successes.”
