Digital Sandbox KC has selected six more early-stage companies to receive help that should get them closer to commercialization.
Those companies are …
- Happy Food Co., which is developing a line of 30-minute “meal kits” that busy families can quickly assemble after a long day. Digital Sandbox KC will pay for software development to better connect Happy Food’s ordering system with its distribution hubs.
- TapTeach, an ed-tech startup that delivers on-demand educational content to students via mobile devices. Digital Sandbox KC’s help will allow TapTeach to continue building out its platform.
- Cancer Survivorship Training, which teaches health care workers how to better serve cancer survivors. With Digital Sandbox KC, the CST platform will be upgraded so that curriculum developers will be able to sell their programs through the site.
- Edge Up Sports, the creator of a fantasy-football research site. In addition to traditional stats and measures, Edge Up Sports offers other insights about NFL players’ behavior. The startup will be able to beef up its features and speed up its development thanks to Sandbox support.
- Motavera, a recruiting tool for small and midsize businesses looking for interns and entry-level employees. It will now be able to expand on its minimum viable product.
- PerfectCube, a business analytics service aimed at smaller retailers. Digital Sandbox KC will help PerfectCube add features and functionality.
Digital Sandbox KC accepts applications for its program on a rolling basis. And even if a startup isn’t quite ready for the Sandbox’s project support, the program will often help its founders to find other free resources. For more information, visit www.digitalsandboxkc.com.
