Atlas Labels & Packaging, a custom packaging and promotional distributor based in Kansas City, Kan., has sold to St. Louis-based ALP Holdings.

Mergers and acquistions firm The DVS Group was the exclusive advisor to Atlas President Robert Drumm during the transaction. Kevin Lindsey, managing partner at The DVS Group, introduced Drumm to the partners of ALP Holdings, LLC and assisted in closing the deal.

The sale closed on June 30. Terms were not disclosed.

Rick Leininger, one of the new owners, is now the president of Atlas.

Drumm said, “Atlas customers will see only a few changes in the months and years ahead, and I’m confident that those changes will only be for the better.” With fresh energy and increased resources, the ownership transfer will benefit Atlas, its customers and the industry, Leininger stated.

Atlas was founded in 1977. The company sells printed packaging materials and promotional products to more than 500 craft brewers, wineries, distilleries and specialty food and beverage producers nationwide.
