Applications are now being accepted for the Sprint Accelerator’s next class, and this next group will be open to any startup with a mobile-tech focus.
In the past, the Sprint Accelerator sought out startups that put mobile technology to work in the health and medical fields. While medical and health apps are still welcome, so are Internet-of-Thing technologies, wearable tech, analytics and more.
Ten startups will be selected for the 2016 class, and they’ll receive a range of help, including up to $120,000 in funding, specialized training and support from both Sprint and Techstars. The three-month session will begin on Feb. 22 and run through May 24. It will culminate in a Demo Day event where class members can present their businesses to an audience of potential investors.
The 2016 group will be the third class for the Sprint Accelerator, which is headquartered in the Crossroads Arts District.
