AltCap is now accepting applications for the next cohort for the Workshop in Business Opportunities (WIBO) course: How To Build a Growing and Profitable Business.
The 16-week training program will meet on Tuesdays at 6 pm starting Sept. 4, culminating with a graduation ceremony.
Founded in 1966 in Harlem, WIBO is a private nonprofit committed to assisting men and women with the drive to become successful entrepreneurs. The course offers a peer-to-peer learning environment where the cohorts learn about marketing, market research, purchasing, pricing strategies, sales, finance, accounting human resources, legal and other facts of operating a business.
Tuition is $500 and covers all workshop materials. Scholarships are available.
AltCap will host an informational meeting for those interested at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 1 in the Turner Boardroom at the KC Public Library Central Branch, 14 W 10th St.
