Dec. 2—this Friday—is the next application deadline for ScaleUP! Kansas City, a free business-growth program offered by the University of Missouri-Kansas City Innovation Center and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

About 15 company owners will be selected for the program’s fifth cohort. The four-month class will start in January. It includes training, coaching and roundtable discussions with other participants. The goal is to help those companies “get over the hump” and increase their annual revenues to more than $1 million.

Applicants need to lead a business that’s been in operation at least two years, must make between $150,000 and $750,000 in annual revenue and must be in a market that could support more than $1 million in sales.
