The Kansas Department of Commerce will host a Business Opportunity Fair for minority and women-owned businesses on Nov. 6 in Topeka.
The event is scheduled from 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maner Conference Center, Capitol Plaza Hotel, 1717 Southwest Topeka Blvd. Advance registration for individuals and businesses is $25 (including lunch) at this website. Registration deadline is Oct. 30.
Co-hosted by the City of Topeka and GO Topeka/Entrepreneurial and Minority Business Development, the Business Opportunity Fair will introduce small, minority and women-owned businesses to procurement and contracting opportunities. There also will be workshops with information designed to help businesses prosper.
Workshop topics at the fair will include:

- Increasing minority business ownership through leadership
