Australian Money App to Use EyeVerify’s ID Tech

EyeVerify’s Eyeprint Verification technology will now be employed by The System Works Group (TSWG) from Brisbane, Australia, for its NetTeller Mobile Money app.

Based in the Kansas City Startup Village, EyeVerify is a pioneer in the field of mobile security. The company’s proprietary mobile identification process utilizes cameras on smartphones to accurately match the blood vessels in the whites of a user’s eyes.

“As financial institutions increase access to consumers’ sensitive personal data and banking services on mobile devices, the need to verify the identity of users is critical,” said Chris Barnett, EyeVerify executive vice president of Global sales and marketing, in a release.

“As we integrate with TSWG, our Eyeprint Verification will enable financial institutions using TSWB NetTeller Mobile Money to add biometric security as a replacement for PINs and passwords or as a second authentication factor confirming sensitive transactions.”

Terry Hudson, general manager of sales and marketing at TSWG, added: “EyeVerify’s technology will make an innovative addition to NetTeller Mobile Money. Consumers want convenient, anywhere, anytime banking while being protected against unauthorized use, if a phone is ever lost or stolen.”
