Bardavon Health Innovations has signed an agreement with the WorkSTEPS Provider Network, a national network of health care providers.
WorkSTEPS evaluates workers’ functional health before they’re hired or after they suffer injuries. And that makes it a good fit for the Overland Park-based Bardavon, which offers a suite of technology to track a company’s workers compensation cases.
By giving better data about these cases to company owners, the owners will be able to send employees to health care providers with the highest success rate in getting people back to work.
“We did peer review published research with Bardavon products in a workers’ compensation population and were able to predict with 99.5 percent accuracy the patients’ level of effort with regard to their injury,” said Larry Feeler, the CEO of WorkSTEPS. “This astounding revelation, alone, will affect the outcomes of stagnant case management and return to work for almost every employer.
Bardavon was founded in 2013 by Matt Condon, the entrepreneur who started ARC Physical Therapy+, one of the region’s most successful physical-therapy companies. In the last 12 months, Bardavon has won over clients in 22 states.
“Employers and their employees are demanding more from their provider community in terms of data and transparency,” Condon said. “Bardavon has always been committed to that.”
