BioKansas Selects Parman to Serve as New Leader

Lynn Parman will serve as the new president and CEO of BioKansas, starting later this month.

parman“I’m excited to lead BioKansas into the next chapter,” said Parman, who currently is the director of sales and marketing solutions for Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica in St. Joseph. “BioKansas has a long history serving as the statewide conduit for the bioscience community through educational awareness, legislative advocacy and industry engagement.”

Parman is following Angela Kreps, who has led BioKansas since 2005. Parman said she wants to build on BioKansas’ record while also working with its members to meet the future needs of the state’s bioscience community.

She played a key role in creating and launching the KC Animal Health Corridor brand. She also served as a vice president at the Lawrence and St. Joseph chambers, managing economic development and business development.

“Lynn Parman brings a proven record of success in the region and in the animal health industry as well as strong leadership skills and a business-driven focus,” said Dr. Wayne Carter, chairman of BioKansas and president and chief executive officer of Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute. “We are very pleased to have her join BioKansas and continue the momentum of biosciences in Kansas.”
