Kansas City’s Brown Button Estate Sales has launched a sister company to market and sell high-end items to national and international bidders.
Circle Auction will handle fine art and sculpture, designer fashion, jewelry, exceptional antiques and modern design items. Auctions will reach users worldwide through LiveAuctioneers.com and Invaluable.com; Circle Auction also uses a proprietary bidding system through its app, which can be accessed at CircleAuction.co or through Apple and Android app stores.
The new company’s first auction runs through Aug. 3 and features 82 lots of art and antiques.
Brown Button, which earned a 25 Under 25 Award from Thinking Bigger Business Media in 2017, found that though 95 percent of items could be sold through its luxury estate sales, there were exceptionally high-end items that could be marketed to a larger audience.

“We launched Circle Auction because we want to serve Kansas City families beyond their estate sale needs,” said James Fry, co-founder of Brown Button and Circle Auction. “We want to assist our clients with selling even their finest collections in a simple and rewarding way. Our KC clientele can place items in Circle’s hands with the confidence that it will achieve its market value through both national and international bidding.”
The company’s next auction will feature jewelry and fashion and will take place in late August.
