Bukaty Companies and Original Bread Inc., both based in Johnson County, have won Regional Business Excellence Awards as part of the Kansas Department of Commerce’s Business Appreciation Month.
The top business in the state will be recognized during an awards banquet on June 17 in Wichita.
“The businesses honored during Business Appreciation Month have made outstanding contributions to our economy and their communities,” Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George said. “These businesses are investing and hiring in Kansas and as a result our state is enjoying strong job growth and a vibrant economy.”
Merit Awards were presented to 76 other businesses across the state. Local honorees included Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, AnswerPro Limited, College Nannies + Tutors, Family Features, Garmin, Home Rental Services, JC Speedy Lube, New Birth Company, Prairiebrooke Arts, Resource Service Solutions, Schier Products, St. Francis de Sales Church, Taco John’s and Twin Oaks Health & Rehabilitation.
