Code for America’s BizFriend.ly Debuts

When Code for America hit Kansas City, the tech-based nonprofit quickly found a problem that its coders could tackle: Web literacy among local business owners. A lot of entrepreneurs know the basics of email … and not much more.

That’s where BizFriend.ly comes in. The free website, a partnership involving Code for America and local governments in the two Kansas Citys, has self-directed lessons where users can learn how to use Google Drive, MailChimp and other services that can help grow their businesses.

And if you happen to be digitally savvy, BizFriend.ly is set up so you can develop your own lessons to share with other business owners.
