Think Realty, a company specializing in residential real estate investor education and resources, has acquired Lee’s Summit-based Community Buying Group (CBG) for an undisclosed amount. CBG president, Ben Rao, will assume an executive capacity with Think Realty.
Ben Rao, a real estate investor, founded CBG in 2010 in the garage of one of his rental properties. What began as a two-person operation has grown into a membership program that connects real estate investors, contractors and property managers to members-only savings at dozens of retailers such as Sherwin-Williams Paints, Sunbelt Rentals and others. It reaches 60,000 investors through more than 350 real estate investor associations and organizations. Its members were responsible for $100 million in supplier spending in 2016.
The purchase will allow Think Realty members access to these resources and discounts.
Think Realty is a central education and information resource for both new investors and seasoned investors. It is part of Affinity Worldwide.
