A local couple has brought a coworking franchise to Overland Park.
Ryan and Erin Seager are the new co-owners of Office Evolution at 8101 College Blvd., Suite 100. The 11,000-square-foot center includes 40 private furnished offices, four conference rooms, a community kitchen, a co-working lounge and free parking. Members can choose from several packages that also include business mailing and telephone-answering services and administrative support.
“There is a new paradigm for flexible office solutions, and Office Evolution has it figured out,” Ryan Seager said. “The community-minded approach truly helps business owners connect with each other – and their clients – in a comfortable, yet professional, environment.”
The Seagers have been granted franchise rights to develop two additional centers in southern Kansas City. Erin Seager will be the business center manager.
Office Evolution, based in Colorado, was listed as No. 4 on Top New Franchises for 2017 list in Entrepreneur Magazine. Coworking spaces capitalize on the trend of the increasing number of consultants, contractors and “solopreneurs,” which have grown to an estimated 24 million in the U.S., according to a workforce report by MBO partners.
“Office Evolution members come from all different professions including lawyers, accountants, therapists – really anyone needing a place to hang their hat in a professional working environment,” Ryan Seager said. “Our contemporary center offers our members everything they need to successfully grow their businesses.”
A grand opening and ribbon cutting event is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Feb. 28 at the new space.
