Downtown Overland Park Partnership Presents Investment Awards

The Downtown Overland Park Partnership recently presented its annual Investment Awards to four businesses that have either renovated or expanded their buildings.

This year’s winners included:

  • Travis Lindemoen, nexus IT group, 7512 W. 70th — A 25 Under 25® winner for 2015, nexus IT group renovated the former Jennings Lawn & Garden Center.
  • Ashley Smith, Milagro Midwestern Spa and Collective, 8006 Foster — The spa moved to downtown Overland Park last spring.
  • Gary Nevius, Craig Serig and Scott Paschia, MOMENTA, 8024 Conser —Last summer, the architecture firm moved into a building that formerly housed a car stereo shop and an appliance repair business. It’s been renovated to serve as office space.
  • John Miller, Maloneys Sports Bar and Grill, 7201 W. 79th — The pub completed a renovation and an expansion that includes a new rooftop deck.

The Downtown Overland Park Partnership also introduced its 2015 slate of officers: president Eric Kratty, owner of Metro Tax Service; vice president John Nolan, principal at Lee & Associates; treasurer Tim Holverson, director of business recruitment and retention with the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce EDC; and secretary Julie Granstaff, owner of The Monogram Shop.
