Exhibit Associates has finalized the purchase of another Kansas City company, Compass Exhibits & Design.

Compass Exhibits & Design is a local business that provides pre-owned and rental displays, along with custom graphics and exhibits. It will function as a division of Exhibit Associates.

Exhibit Associates, a member of the  25 Under 25® class of 2016, designs and builds custom  exhibits for everything from trade show booths to interior signage.

The deal will help spur growth by introducing Exhibit Associates’ customers to Compass’s services, and vice versa.

Karen Hawkins, who founded Compass Exhibits & Design in 1995, will stay with the business as an account representative and imaginer. And she’ll be active in advising and directing the growth of the new division.

“We are both excited about the merging of our resources,” Hawkins and Don Jalbert, Exhibit Associates’ president, said in a joint statement. “The combination of additional expertise, fast turnaround times and cost efficiency will greatly benefit the customers of both companies.”
