Finkle + Williams Designs Vietnam’s First Family Entertainment Center

Overland Park’s Finkle + Williams Architecture just helped launch a one-of-a-kind project: the first-ever family entertainment center in Vietnam.

The 157,000-square-foot Helio Center in Da Nang includes ice-skating, bowling, go-carts, indoor rides, upscale karaoke rooms and more—big enough to welcome 4,000 guests at a time. Before the building even opened, 50,000 people had signed up as members.

Finkle + Williams collaborated on the project with White Hutchinson Leisure & Learning Group, another local company.

“The center is the first of its kind in Vietnam, and we are ecstatic to see how well the residents of Da Nang are responding to it,” said Randy White, CEO of White Hutchinson. “There have already been days where they have had to turn people away because they’ve reached capacity. It has given residents and visitors to Da Nang new options for their socialization, entertainment and dining.”

Finkle + Williams has designed a range of commercial projects, and entertainment venues are one of the firm’s specialties. Finkle + Williams was part of Paradise Park and the 810 Zone in Kansas City, Mo., and it’s done international work beyond the Helio Center, too, on family centers in Doha and Cairo.
