Longtime Rockhurst University faculty member Thomas L. Lyon will receive the Helzberg School of Management’s inaugural Fr. Nick Rashford, S.J., Award for Leadership and Ethics on Feb. 13. The award recognizes Lyon’s immeasurable influence on Rockhurst students and his unwavering obligation to lead with principle.

The yearly honor will be bestowed to individuals who demonstrate high ethical standards of business conduct, and show excellence in leadership through their enterprise, encouragement to others and positive impact on their community.

Lyon is professor emeritus of finance at Rockhurst. He joined the faculty in 1975, and previously served as chair and division chair of the School of Management.
