Award-winning accounting and consulting firm HSMC Orizon LLC in Lee’s Summit has acquired Blue Wave IT, a local information technology practice led by Matthew Hornung, who now holds the position of manager in HSMC Orizon’s technology practice.

“Matt’s background in health care IT, including systems administration, information security and disaster recovery is the perfect extension of the services we deliver to our health care clients,” said Michael Bohning, director of information technology services for HSMC Orizon, a 25 Under 25 alumnus from 2012. “Matt’s health care experience creates depth of expertise in delivering managed services and IT support that is difficult to find in other technology consulting firms.”

Hornung’s experience includes directing information technology for Lee’s Summit Physician Group, Kansas City’s largest privately held medical group. He also provided technical support services at Dynamic Data Systems. His certifications include MCSA, MCP, CCNP and CISSP.
