JCCC’s GAME Program for Small Businesses Announces 1Q Slate

Looking to grow your business in the new year? The Kansas Small Business Development Center at Johnson County Community College might be able to help.

The center has just announced the 1Q slate for its GAME (Growth through Action, Measurement and Engagement) training program for small business owners with at least $250,000 in annual revenue.

In each 2.5-hour session, business owners get coaching from experts in a variety of fields, brainstorm with other entrepreneurs and develop 30-, 60- and 90-day plans for improving their companies.

The workshops are held from 7:30 to 10 a.m., generally on alternating Tuesdays. An optional study hall runs from 8 to 10 a.m.

The first workshop will be on Jan. 24, when Kelly Tyler Byrnes of Voyage Consulting Group talks about creating a systematic framework for growth.

Other sessions include:

Feb. 7 – Develop Competitive Advantage Through Quality

Feb. 21 – Increase Value and Profits by Understanding Your Customer’s Value Chain

March 7 – Evaluate Growth through Diversification, Market or Product/Services

March 21 – Ensure Alignment of Growth Strategy, Vision and Culture

It costs $99 to participate in all five workshops. (Normally, they would cost about $250, but Small Business Bank of Lenexa is sponsoring this quarter’s classes.) For more information, contact Stephanie Landis at slandis1@jccc.edu or (913) 469-4485. Visit www.bit.ly/GAMEAPPLY to apply for GAME.
