Morningstar Communications has released the name of its new president: Sheri Johnson.
Johnson had been a senior vice president at the Overland Park marketing and communication firm since 2008. She has worked at Morningstar since 2000, when she was hired as an account supervisor. (The firm is a past winner of the 25 Under 25® Award.)
“For 15 years, Sheri has served as an exceptional strategist, counselor and mentor,” said Morningstar founder Eric Morgenstern, who will continue to be the CEO.
He praised Johnson’s talent for developing communication strategies for clients and helping them find the best media channels to get those ideas across.
“Sheri elevated herself into this role as she continues to grow our business and extend Morningstar Communications beyond traditional integrated marketing communications,” Morgenstern said.
Johnson has worked with several leading clients, including Hallmark Business Connections, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Intouch Solutions and many more.
“Morningstar Communications continues to adapt to remain relevant for our clients,” Johnson said. “We’ve matured into a firm focused on helping B2B companies connect marketing and sales to garner the best business results. This is an exciting time for Morningstar Communications as we implement content marketing and marketing automation to better connect marketing and sales departments to increase revenue. I’m excited to continue to help each of our clients and further build their business.”
