Dobies Healthcare Group has named Julie Amor president of the health care-focused marketing and branding firm.
Amor joined Dobies in 2015 as chief strategy officer, a role that will remain part of her duties. Founder Carol Dobies will continue as CEO while Thom Ludtke rounds out the executive leadership team as vice president of client services.
“I am honored to now serve as president of Dobies Healthcare Group to develop and expand our corporate growth strategy as a nationally recognized healthcare marketing, branding and advertising firm,” Amor said.
She’ll be responsible for launching new service offerings, overseeing growth strategies, managing workforce and more at the firm, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
“As the healthcare industry continues to evolve, the need to combine an aligned, shared vision with highly strategic thinking is a critical differentiator, not only to our success and sustainability, but for the success of our clients,” Amor said.
“I enthusiastically embrace the opportunity to further develop and execute toward the company’s vision of creating healthier brands across the healthcare industry.”
Amor was previously vice president of marketing and corporate communication at the University of Kansas Hospital, and before that, she was with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City.
“With the rapidly changing healthcare landscape, the timing was right to divide my responsibilities as president and chief executive officer,” Dobies said. “Since joining Dobies Healthcare Group three years ago, Julie’s influence on the culture and direction of the firm has been very positive. I am confident she will translate her unwavering commitment to our mission and vision into strategic growth for the company for years to come.”
