A team of experts will convene at Johnson County Community College on July 27 to share insights into buying and selling a business.
Hosted by the Kansas Small Business Development Center, the half-day conference is designed for people that want to purchase or sell a business. Others individuals involved in the buy-sell process—accountants, attorneys, business brokers, lenders, financial planners and others—are also welcome to attend.
The conference will be divided into two tracks: buyers and sellers. Buyers will learn about the purchase process, including identifying a business, performing due diligence, financing and negotiating the purchase. Sellers will learn about basic valuation and how to get their business ready for sale. In addition to the industry experts who will speak, there will be an exhibit space that features professionals involved with mergers and acquisitions, including lenders, attorneys, and human resources professionals.
The $99 registration fee includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
